Picture of Warwick

Here are some pictures of Mom and Dads trip to Warwick Castle.  It was built in 1068 by William the Conqueror

This is the village where the castle is.

Castle Grounds on the Outside.

Stairs leading up to the castle.

Castle Grounds on the Inside.

Another view from the inside.

View from the Castle.

Gardens of the Castle.  Mom is hoping this is what her yard will look like when they get back??

More of the gardens.

The tower from the outside.

Mom being sent to the Tower.

Everyone was in period dress. Mom and Dad are waiting here for the drawbridge to open.

Again at the bridge.

Do you or don't you??

Another guide.

Great attention getter.

There were wax figurines throughout the rooms to demonstrate what would have been done and what they would have worn.  Royal version of Ripley's.

The Eagle demonstration - Dad's favorite.

Another activity on the grounds.

By the end of the day they went up, over around and back.  I think they average about 7 miles a day on foot.
