6.15.2011

We are here and awake. We got up at 3am on Monday, caught the MTC shuttle at 5 am traveled all day and night got to London at 8:30 Tuesday morning. We were met at the airport by the mission president and his wife then dropped off at our hotel. We were at the Employment office by 10 am and worked until we positively could not stay awake for another minute it was 4 pm. We napped for a little while and then walked for 1 1/2 hours in Hyde Park. Then went home and slept soundly until this morning. We are now at the office and attending a Career Workshop.

It is going to take a few weeks to get up to speed on everything we need to be doing. It is amazing how many individuals come into this office. We haven't seen the flat yet but are looking forward to moving in next Thursday. Until the Campbell's leave on the 23rd we are at a hotel. The room is nice but even smaller than the MTC--so we have a bed and wall-to-wall suitcases. It will be so nice to not be living out of a suitcase.

London is a fun place. Lots of people, lots of languages, lots of activities. Also, as I have been typing on this computer it has different keyboards. We are fine, but miss everyone. Of course, Larry is serious about getting involved and being busy--I am a little more hesitant because we are not sure exactly what other things we are going to be involved in. It is not clear about how involved we will be with the Mission or the ward. I am sure that once we are here for about a month we will be busy and involved in many things.

Thanks for taking care of one another. Ali, sounds like you have plenty of things to keep the kids busy. It's great that Noel and her group are helping. We have access to computers and email at the office so we will check often during the day.

Love, m
